EADM 205-2W1 - Risk And Hazard Impact Studies

The course focuses on a generalized technical understanding and an awareness of various types of natural hazards. Central to the course is the understanding the technical cooperation regarding hazard and vulnerability assessments, inclusion of hazard mitigation measures in the formulation of investment projects, use of geographic information systems for mapping and analysis, and urban watershed planning for hazard and resource management. The course includes some, but not all, of the disaster mitigation and integrated development planning.
